Learning disabilities are one of the disabilities which cannot be obviously seen on others. It may not leave visible signs for others. But one has to carefully listen to the person with such disorder to understand the facts. Learning disability is a one which normally affects the way people interpret or their inability to interpret things and having a disturbed communication with the environment. One cannot communicate to the environment on what he thinks and the same can be applied while writing. This may affect their life seriously.
The learning disorder might be difficult to be subjected for treatment. Primarily it is difficult to identify such disorders unless you consult your physician. There can be so many reasons and causes. Hence it is difficult to pinpoint one cause and treat for that. The society has got a bigger impact on this issue. Therefore tailor made treatments are not available. The very first obvious sign while encountering problem will be in speech and writing. They cannot be expressive or will not find apt words while speaking. And for some, their brain will not function properly and have poor reception and will be bad in understanding things. They cannot grasp any information quickly. Their brain finds it difficult to match the nerves when they are told to do multi tasking. For example, if they have to study and simultaneously listen to music, they find it impossible to do so.
The worst effect of learning disabilities is that it will have an impact on other actions also. For example, the problem in understanding will have an impact while communicating the same with others. One kind of learning disability is that children may not be able to concentrate in the class. They cannot concentrate at a stretch for more than few minutes. This may lead to hyper activity among some cases. Adults may find it difficult to organize events due to lack of concentration and focused thinking. Also hyper activity will lead to restlessness which may provoke to do harmful things at times. Hence proper consultation must be done to cure persons with learning disabilities.

High blood pressure is hypertension. Normally the heart pumps blood through arteries. The blood pressure tells us about the force with which it forces the blood on the walls of arteries. The pressure is high when it pumps out blood and lowers when heart is at rest between the beats. The rate between the two for a normal man is termed as 120/80.
Blood pressure normally increases when we do activities like running, jumping which involves physical activities and lowers while sleeping. But some people tend to have a high blood pressure even when they are normal. During the adult age, men have higher blood pressure and the reverse becomes true when they become older. The hereditary factors also play a vital role. If the grand parents and parents had blood pressure, then you are more likely to get it.
The impacts of high blood pressure are so bad. Most of the times, it will lead to heart attacks, stroke, kidney damage. When the arteries carrying blood are being blocked, then less blood is transported which means there is a scarcity of oxygen. Due to lack of oxygen, heart attacks occur. Kidney helps in filtering the unwanted substances from blood. Since the blood vessels are being blocked, the function of kidney is arrested leading to kidney failure.
The primary or essential blood pressure cannot be controlled or cured. But the secondary blood pressure like which are caused due to pregnancy, use of birth control pills, hormonal abnormalities can be cured if the cause is identified and stopped. It is highly essential to take preventive measures to lower the blood pressure. Some of them are:
Do not add too much salt content
Maintain a healthy diet and weight
Be active physically
By following these tips, am sure one can lower the risk of having high blood pressure. It is good to have a healthy diet and nutritious content in a balanced way.

Everybody needs sleep for the normal functioning of the body. There are 4 stages of sleep. Stage 1 involves the relaxation of muscles and the person can be easily awakened. Stage 2 is where the brain starts relaxing. Stage 3 and 4 involves deep sleep. The total body begins its relaxation now. Some people are deprived of sleep and many may have sleeping disorders. These are because of the irregular habits one may have. Some of the disorders are:
Sleep Apnea: This is the problem due to breathing problems. Some times there may be a pause in breathing due to the stoppage of air flow in the upper throat. This may prove fatal for the patient. It leads to less sleep at nights and more sleepy during the day time. It also leads to irritability, sexual dysfunction and much more problems.
Insomnia: This is a common disorder found in older age population. This leads to sleepless nights day after another. Hence people tend to feel sleepy during day times and may sleep heavily even when they do any jobs. This is bad and will lead to many harmful effects.
Snoring: This is yet again a common problem found mostly in men. This may also because of apnea. Proper consultation must be taken because this disturbs the persons sleeping the same room.
Terror dreams: There is no person in this world without dreams. Our wild imaginations and fantasies take up the form of dreams. Some may get terrific dreams because of any horrible incidents that they encountered. The sub conscious mind thinks about it and gives a terrific reaction. The nightmares can be a disturbing factor while sleeping and often wakes you up.
Waking up : This often happens in the older age persons. 50% of men and women suffer from this problem. They merely lose the stage 4 sleep of deep sleep. Less stress and a healthy body can overcome this problem to certain extent at this age.
Sleeping is very important for the body to function. If you find any sleeping disorder, it is advised to consult your physician as soon as possible. Because prolonged sleeping disorders will spoil your health. Most physicians recommends liquid melatonin which helps in establishing normal sleep quickly.

Cancer relates to the group of diseases that have some common things in them. They start developing in the cells which are the basic unit of life. Cells are being destroyed on getting cancer. Breast cancer is such a type of cancer which is mostly found in women. Usually women under the age of 35 are not prone to breast cancer. But women of age above 40 and 50 are highly vulnerable. It is also seen in male but the number of cases reported is less when compared to female.
A woman’s breast is made of lobes and ducts. The most common type of breast cancer is the ductal carcinoma. Another type is the obular carcinoma that arises in the lobules. The breast cancer has the tendency to multiply itself outside the breast. This is a clear indication that it has started spreading in the body. The risk factor for breast cancer is highly related with the age of women. The probability increases as when they get older. A personal history of having breast cancer will increase the chances of another attack. Also genetically changes can lead to this. If the family has got a history, chances are evident. Women who were treated and are exposed to radiation at younger age may develop chances and bearing first pregnancy after the age of 30 also are prone to breast caner.
Periodical tests have to be performed for women when they approach the older ages. A mammogram test may help in identifying the cancer disease before even the symptoms are felt. The changes in the shape of breasts are also clear indications. But one should remember that changes are evident as they grow older. Hence a clinical test will be sufficient. The early detection and treatment will help in faster curing of the disease. The treatment methodology heavily depends on the age, menopausal status, general health and size of breasts. It is always better to be preventive. Breast cancer cases are on their increasing note. Hence women must have constant clinical tests to remain healthy. Much awareness and knowledge on how to prevent might help in reducing the number of breast cancer cases.

The Swine influenza is caused by the respiratory disorders of pig and outbreaks often in pigs. It is named as H1N1 virus by WHO. It is misunderstood that Swine virus is being spread by pigs but actually not. When a human being is attacked by this virus, then it becomes contagious and spreads only by human contact not by pigs. Most countries have started culling of pigs which is unnecessary.
Swine influenza is contagious but the rate at which it spreads is not yet determined. The symptoms include flu, high temperature, cough, sore throat, body ache, head ache, fatigue and some even report of vomiting and diarrhea. The virus spreads from the coughing or sneezing by people affected with the flu. It also spreads by touching any place affected by the virus and then when made contact with nose or mouth. It is declared that Swine influenza will not be infected by eating pork or pork related food items. The symptoms can take up to 1 day to show that one has been affected and it may also take up to 7 days for the evidence. There is more probability for the affected person to spread the contagious virus before he comes to know that he is affected.
Once when a person develops such symptoms, he must rush in to the near by hospital and oseltamivir or zanamivir are recommended for the treatment. These anti viral drugs will help you fight against the infection of flu and prevents the replica of virus inside the body. These viruses have the potential to live for 2 years outside the body surface and hence virus may be prevalent on the dry hotel benches and furniture. It is advised to have the hands washed at regular intervals.
To get prevented from Swine flu virus, it is prescribed
* Avoid close contact with sick people. They may be contagious to this kind of virus
* Avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes.
* Cover yourself with a tissue paper while coughing and dispose the tissue safely.
* Have safe washing your hands with soap at regular intervals.
The Swine flu has caused one confirmed death in USA and there are many cases reported world wide. Remember “Prevention is always better than cure”.

This disease is herditary disease and this disease is formerly known as Thalassemia or Genetic Blood Disorder Group.
Lets understand what is Thalassemia in detail, Hemoglobin – a red blood cell component which carries oxygen. Hemoglobin is formed of two proteins one is known as alpha and other is known as beta. During Thalassemia disease the body becomes unable to produce this proteins in sufficient quantity and thus insufficient amount of oxygen is carried which later results in Anemia. In Anemia disease production of fresh blood stops which creates obstacle in routine life.
Lacs of people across the world are suffering from this disease. 2.5 Lac people alone in Pakistan are suffering from this disease and they require blood bottles regularly. Also WHO (World Health Organization) had issued a warning that if this disease is not taken under control soon then it may became killer disease of this century. Patients suffering from this disease needs blood transfusion every week in order to live, this treatment is very expensive and risky. Also the patient suffers problem in rountine activities such as walking, running, thinking etc, and if somehow blood transfusion is not done within a week then it may turn into fatal situations.
What are Symptoms of Thalassemia?
A person suffering from this disease looks stressed and tensed due to reduction of blood levels in body. After blood transfusion the person looks fresh and normal. If anyone from couple either husband or wife is Thalassemic then child gets higher chances of being Thalassemic. The person suffering from this disease faces problems socially as well as economically.
