Personal Hygiene
Sometimes you come across people that are unappealing no matter how well dressed they are. Last week I ran into this colleague of mine at the mall. She’s the kind of girl you’d never find under-dressed for any occasion. We sat down for a cup of coffee but that entirely uneventful. What really irked me were her feet when she turned to leave. Cracked heels and toenails as yellow as a rodent’s tooth!
I understand once you are an adult, life doesn’t give you enough time to pamper yourself endlessly. But it is important to understand that personal hygiene is very vital to your health and personality. Personal hygiene may be described as elementary cleanliness, and basic grooming that does not take too long to bring into practice but has bundles of benefits.
If you pay yourself a little attention, about half to one hour a day, everyday, you may never have an embarrassing moment in your life as far as personal hygiene is concerned. Even if it takes winding up your alarm for half an hour earlier, give yourself enough time to take a shower, and properly moisturize your body afterwards. Brush your teeth thoroughly and floss them before your breakfast. Once you’re done eating whatever you had to, a quick gargle will make sure you don’t have bits and pieces left in your mouth to give your breathe that tell-today’s-menu tinge to it.
Similarly, before sleeping, if you wash your face, hands, and feet it will not only relax you but also wash off all the dirt and germs that settle themselves onto you during the entire time you’re out. Moisturizing them daily will keep them well hydrated and you’d forever be chipped nails/ cracked heels free! A little effort like this would go a long way in giving you personal confidence and add to your personality a thorough charm and not just the surface dusting!
