Controlling obesity has got no meaning without maintaining a diet. A diet does not mean to refrain from foods what you like. But the amount of food or calories taken in must be controlled.

There are often various weight loss programs. Some of them are do it yourself program where one follows his own assumptions or join a group of similar minded people and carry out activities. They may not give very good results but one can definitely feel the change. Non clinical programs are done by health counselors where they propagate their own ideas on losing weight. It is made commercial. Clinical programs involve professionals giving health tips on how to reduce weight. They might prescribe any supplement, diet and other drugs. They will prove effective. Some very low calories diet is prescribed by doctors who will give you no more than 800 calories per day replacing all the food items. Some may adapt gastric surgery which makes you lose weight in one of the two ways.

Limiting the amount of food that your stomach can hold by removing some parts of stomach and
